Strategy for Picking Goalies for DFS

Daily Fantasy Hockey Goalies are a difficult to project, even for the best insiders and those who are experts of Daily Fantasy Hockey. There are just so many variables and so much dependence on other teammates that truly make this complicated. The statistics of goalies are not always driven by the quality of the goalies performance, as they are very dependent on their teammates for support. They cannot do well without an effective team, regardless of their ability as a goalie. The defensive system of the team has to be quite solid and the team also has to be proficient in offensive play to score goals so the goalie can get a team win. The goalie never really shoots the puck at the other goalie, so they are very dependent on the offense to make the proper shots for the team. The defense needs to block shots and reduce scoring opportunities. However, bad bounces, injuries to players, and defensive lapses can spell disaster in a daily fantasy evening. Thus the highest ownership goalies in fantasy hockey leagues seem like an easy pick, but they can also have bad evenings. In competing with other fantasy players or managers, it may be best to target low ownership percent goalies, or perhaps a backup goalie on a solid team that is starting, versus a weak team to give the number one goalie a rest. Another key fantasy hockey analysis would be to look into the teams that average the most shots per game, but not necessarily those who turn those shots into goals. This will allow your goalie to rack up saves, while not occurring negative fantasy hockey points for the goals they allow. This daily fantasy hockey strategy allows you to win big if that goalie performs as your competition may have gone with the traditional best approach and they get blown out. Picking a player for specific positions does get complicated, but no more than choosing a goalie. Thus in conclusion, consider picking the lowest projected ownership percent (for DFS) and be leaps and bounds above the rest of those you are competing against.
